I'm fine with Stoops staying at Ky. Will they probably do worse? Sure. But it' s not guaranteed. I honestly have no idea why they don't wake up one day and decide to try to go big in football. The fanbase and resources are there. They could start raiding Ohio and Virginia for recruits with an elite staff.
They’ve been raiding Ohio for the past 6 years. That’s been a huge part of their success and the reason Vince Marrow gets paid $600k a year to be a tight ends coach.
Is there a program that has defined underachieving like GA? I mean consistent recruiting and yet... It’s actually hard to take them seriously
Not sure I follow. Won sec championship in 17, lost it the next two seasons with a national runner up thrown in. Is that underachieving?
When you consistently recruit in the top 3 and you fired a guy that started exactly like Smart has, yes.
Their WRs are 2 5*s, a 4*, and a 3* (#1/13, #4/24, #5/36, & #35/346 WR/National ranks). If they can't get shit done, I'm guessing it's not the talent level so much as it is the coaching.
