They showed it against BG…. the throw game wasn’t happening so they ran it and got the hell out of there
My point was and is that the Florida game is more indicative of how we'll come out and play in the future.
if milton would just play the situation rather trying to always throw it hard, he would be the best option.
Just keep 95% of his passes under 15 yards and maybe let him take 1 or 2 deep shots. Lots of QB power/draw plays.
I think now that you know that all that ability is a mirage and you can't just ride his arm to wide open deep shots 4-5 times a game, that there is a possibility that Milton and how they use him can improve. He's not Hooker but he's still mobile, and you get him running downhill he can be a load. That could open up stretch plays and bubble screens to guys like Payton, Callaway and Hyatt. The issue is that you need him to hit these crossing patterns and quick seams to TEs/guys in the slot and he can't even do that consistently. If we can execute in those three areas, this offense will be plenty good enough to beat Mizz, SC, and UK. It's the best way to scheme our RBs into successful positions with a subpar line. I'd rather see us be good at sustaining drives than be randomly hitting on 3-4 big plays out of 80 and not being able to stay on the field the rest of the time.
Tiyon Evans said, after viewing some film, we were going to "have some fun" with that Missouri defense. If he backs it up he will be my new favorite.
Milton looks poured into his uniform. But then when the game begins you see that it was concrete that was poured.
