When I watched yesterday I thought Jimmy G was pushing him telling him to get out of there, upon replay it seems more like a “fired up” kind of shove
He seems to have taken hold of the #3. He’s gonna get some chances as we go along. Fans were already starting to notice him as a blocker, now they’ve seen him be JJ and love him
My biggest disappointment this year is he didn’t get to go at Tabor all day when they played the Bears. I was hoping he would be begging the coaches to let him go matchup for shits and giggle
He’s doing all the things a late round pick has to do in order to get the chance to catch balls - block your ass off, draw flags, be in the right place at the right time, catch the 1-2 balls you do get. His biggest play yesterday wasnt the person foul he drew. It was the Jeff Wilson fumble he fell on that would have derailed a really nice drive the team had going.
Pretty nice catch in OT today. He’s really come in not his own in the last month. He might be becoming the #3 WR on the team.
He still needs to work ball security. He had fumbled one and got lucky when it bounced back to him. He had a second very late that was ruled incomplete, but was very close to a fumble. Still, nice shout from the coach:
yeah that was good to see. He had a catch and borderline fumble in the 4th and a drop. He and Palmer combined for quite a few catches today
Went back today and watched the final drive. I think he was on the field for every play but one on the game winning TD drive. Also, Aiyuk doesn’t score the TD if JJ doesn’t get a good block on his man.
