If Slovis is good, Pitt will be good. They return four starters on the offensive line, have one of the best defensive lines in the country, and play in the ACC. Add in a very good coach and you have a recipe for a top-15ish type team.
So they didn't lose a shit ton on defense? I was under the impression last year's team was one of their best teams due to their experience and obviously Pickett/Addison.
I believe they return seven starters on defense. That includes all four on the defensive line, which was second in the country in sacks last season.
Slovis is not surrounded by the talent he is use to. They are going to have to lean heavy on their D. imo
I looked at their roster and their D-line does indeed seem to be stacked. But a tempo offense is probably the best way to deal with that.
I don't disagree, but there are piles of "if's" and "buts" around this program these last 15 years. We need to do it. 32 days from now.
I agree but for as shitty as Tennessee has been since 2005, there's only a handful of plays away from having a pretty good run. Hell, a few terrible spots and blown fumble calls cost Tennessee three wins last year.
And every year, Tennessee has a game or 3 where I see a novel way to lose come up. The forward progress whistle against Purdue was far too familiar a feeling. Tennessee has to not just win, but do so without leaving any opportunity for a single official to be able to make a "judgement call" against them.
Needed to landed one of those 10 DBs we lost to Auburn. Not going to be pretty with any injuries back there.
