Gentlemen- and Norris, Regardless of todays outcome… enjoy this. This message board we call home has experienced the lowest of the lows. We’ve all drowned in the sorrows of UT being at depths that it should have never been, much much longer than it should have been. We’ve had coaching searches, AD searches, doomsday clocks, and apathy. All that was because we, as a collective board, knew that where we are right now… is where we belong. We knew it even when our former administration didn’t. With that said, I think all of us to a man would admit that there was that piece of us… deep down in places that gcb explores, that we might just never get back here. But by God here we are. Our kids now get to witness what many of us got to grow up with. I get to be an obnoxious fan again. I get to actually get nervous before games, something I’ve not experienced in many, many years. We only get so many of these Saturdays in a lifetime. Soak it up. Call your parent, grandparent, kids, grandkids, etc. Hop in the car and go watch it with someone. Shotgun the beer when Hooker hits Hyatt wide ass open. We’re back. And although I think around 8:00 tonight we are all singing the absolute [uck fay] out of Rocky Top… todays outcome doesn’t change that fact. GBMFO.
Yes. Deep, dark, scary places. But we've climbed our way out to witness the bright orange glow of a new day.
Told my wife just a bit ago that no matters what happens tonight, nothing's getting me down about this game. No matter the outcome, this has been a great season and barring catastrophic failure, it's going to finish that way.
Yeah, we were given a $5 complimentary chip upon entering the casino and have turned it into $25,000. We are playing with all house money
Just an idea on why I’m so pumped about the state of TN football currently. Yesterday I had to rush little NYY to children’s hospital. He had the flu last week. We thought he was over it. Turns out, he wasn’t. Yesterday he was so severely dehydrated it took 7 different pokes to find a vein. We were in triage waiting for a room for over 7 hours. He had an absolute meltdown when he thought we were going to have to be admitted. The doctor told him that if he had to be admitted it would be fine… that he would get some good rest. His response? “I’m not watching us beat Georgia in here.” The doctor said “heck yea young man.” Long story short we got discharged after midnight and today he’s drinking pedialyte like a champ.
I want this win for the guys. They are just right there as not only being one of Tennessee fans’ all time favorites (maybe the), but people all around college football like this team. Darnell, Tillman, Hooker, Hiatt need to move up the draft board. There are some guys that can get on it. Young could get a good shot and maybe Banks. I want them all to be HH names. And I want them to celebrate while showcasing a program that is fun and will bust their tail to get you a shot at the next level. And maybe some team and individual trophies.
