I'm sure somewhere in that book there is something about getting the message to the people in their language, or any way they can receive it.
As far as I know there is only one commandment regarding speech, and that is about using the Lord's name in vain and even in that instance the "rule" is taken way out of context. I'm sure the disciples were some pretty salty characters. My guess is that social grace and manners were not really their strong suit.
Would the the Lord's name being referred to be "God," though? That's not "God's name." Seriously asking. I'd think that rule would be referring to Yahweh.
Think spirit, not letter. I don't think that God cares that I curse - but perhaps the sentiment that often compels it, instead.
