Football games have become more about a social spectacle than being about the game. I find that fairly disturbing.
Yes on both. I am ashamed to say I sm guilty. Whith how bad we've been, I only want to go to games when we are having a tailgate deal.
For me it's two part. First I love tailgating; seeing friends I only see during that time because life, eating (as I've already documented), enjoying the afternoon with my wife who doesn't give the first lick about going to the game but loves getting dressed up and the pageantry. As for the game, I've really enjoyed going by myself. So much so, I'm really debating getting a single season ticket. I don't give a shit about anything else after the game starts.
