Because we are second to Alabama all time in the SEC and second all time go Kentucky in basketball. And so we should know our place and jusg accept it. I say **** that.
Butch had better realize that he's playing to set the tone in June, and when his world will fundamentally change.
I guess we will see how big this new ADs nads are right off the bat. Don't like the status quo ? Make a change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hate Butch 100x more than I ever hated Dooley. I'm not saying it's justified, it's just how I feel.
There's a reason that Hart is leaving in June - it guarantees Butch next season. But how this season plays out will affect how he goes into next season. Or, Hart could always retire early, and his replacement be named in, oh, December or somewhere thereabouts.
Not as a coach. The actual coaching is freaking horrendous. It's not even close. Now that the recruiting is sliding, even with legacies, he's useless.
Dooley or Butch being worse is like arguing over death by being dismembered by a grizzly or burning alive.
Several strongly objected to DeBoard when he was first mentioned, and even before he was hired, and only relented when all involved were made well-aware that his hiring would be squarely on Butch's shoulders. It will be. And on his head, too, wherever it rolls off to.
If recruiting is included, easily. If we're just talking game coaching? Butch is better at game-planning. Dooley was better at in-game coaching. Dooley was better at picking his spots for trick plays (he was actually really good at this before he mailed it in). Dooley picked better coordinators (before they all bailed on him) They're both horrendous with the mental game, but Butch wins this cripple fight.
