I'm pretty sure he had a winning record against pete carroll and harbaugh. it wasn't just the offense that got him to win. the guy is a great motivator and is innovative in the way he ran the program. plenty of great college coaches have failed in the nfl.
he also NEVER lost to obviously inferior opponents which is more than I can say for harbuagh, pete carroll, or even saban.
