I didn't realize this was a thing, but thought it was interesting. Butch with a 5.99% approval rating after UF. https://indd.adobe.com/view/b3d5555c-c5ce-493c-8003-5c66b91b1ae9 http://volpoll.com/
3 in a row over Mighty Georgia (a team that hasn't won the SEC since 2005)...that's contract extension material right there.
yup. are we sure Georgia is that good? that being said, it's hard to see a lot of points by tenn in that game.
Nah, it's winnable. They're all tossups, minus Alabama. But Tennessee isn't good enough to simply out-talent anyone other than Mizzou. In tossups, I'm not betting on Butch being any better than .500.
I'm not worried about the defense. Chubb-Michele have been contained and or hurt every time they've played against Tennessee. Fromm is a check down specialist. They'll probably put up 20 or 24 points total. Kirby Smart is going to attempt to kill Dormady and Kelly and the offensive tackles will allow it.
It will come down to Callaway making a great run after a catch, Kelly refusing to be tackled and Evan Berry housing a kick off. It will have not a damn thing to do with great coaching if Tennessee wins.
No. That's our scheme. OK. Go get hit twice behind the line of scrimmage, get hit again a yard past it, then outrun everybody, hope the safety hits a wet patch and slips, and score a TD. Go!
This reminds me of Butch's presser the other day. He said something about Callaway or Kelly and his "yards after first contact", as if YAC (yards after contact) wasn't good enough. He had to recoin the damn phrase. I know I am picking nits, but the dude just brings that out in me. He is my Kryptonite and he just brings out the worst in me.
he's an amazing piece of shit and idiot. even I can see it. there are coaches of my team that went 1-10 that I liked more than butch.
He's a non coaching jackass. He's been gifted some of the best talent in the SEC at TB, QB and WR since he's been here and hasn't put them on the field. Dobbs was halfway through his sophomore year before they finally stuck with him, Hurd was misused, Kamara only got plenty of touches after Hurd quit and Kelly was non existent until Hurd quit too. Look at a guy like Josh Malone, who wasn't involved in the offense at all until his junior year. Jauan Jennings covered kickoffs and punts and rarely received playing time at WR as a freshman. Jalen Reeves-Maybin didn't start until he was a sophomore. Darrin Kirkland Jr didn't start until after Florida in 2015. He's a damn joke.
It angers me that people try to link Jones and Dobbs as some great pair, like Montana and Walsh. Butch did everything he could to keep him off the field and half the time he was out there he was handcuffed.
