Went to his coaches clinic back in October and was very impressed with his intensity, how hard the guys practice and his team building/leadership skills. The big question is can he win with his style of play consistently in a major conference?
Blew a lead late against Indiana. Of course that isn't always the coach's fault. But that's a game they could have won.
It seems to me than unless he is horrible one on one with recruits, his style would be something a lot of players would want to play in. Full court and actually runs some semblance of a half-court set. I'm not sure how it adapts to the physical pounding inside of the BIG, but if he can figure that out, I think it would work. And people might think I am crazy, but I might hold on one more year and see if the job in Westwood opens up. As down as the Pac 12 is right now, he could go in and cause fits.
Would you care to articulate for us some reasons why he wouldn't be able to win consistently in a major conference with his style of play?
I just want Shaka out of the CAA. Whether he goes somewhere and is successful or not is of no consequence to me.
