Get out the brooms. .500 in conference. RPI currently #8. Thats the year 2 jump you want from a coach.
Vitello is to Currie what Barnes was to Hart. The proverbial broken clock getting it right twice a day.
30-11 overall ; 9-9 SEC Need to finish 3-0 vs Gardner Webb, Austin Peay, and TTU. That would get you to 33 wins. SEC series left: @Arky, vs. Mizzo, @UF, vs. Ole Miss Arky is probably the most difficult as they now sit atop the SECW and are on fire. I think avoiding a sweep is what you want. Anything else is a bonus. Mizzou is 2 games back of us in the East. Need to win 2. Sweep would be a big bonus. Florida is also two games back of us in the East. Gators aren't great this year, but on the road, avoid the sweep and it you can steal a 2nd, its a bonus. Ole Miss is down the SECW standings, but are 10-8 in the conference. Its at home. Need to get 2. If you essentially get 2 in each home stint and 1 on each road trip, that gets you to 39-18 and .500 in conference.....Good enough clubs that RPI should stay around were its at I would think... That would keep TN in play for hosting a regional. That is excluding in SECT wins, so there a solid chance this is a 40 win team headed in to the NCAA Regional. They were 29-27 last year
I'm amazed that we're even thinking about hosting a regional. .500 or better in conference and taking care of business outside of it and we should be set.
Beat Kentucky's best team ever in football, won 2 out of 3 against them in basketball, and swept them in baseball. Been a good year.
After getting swept last weekend, Vols really need to the Sunday W to claim this series over Mizzou. I believe they sit at 10-13 in the SEC with 7 conference games left.... they really need to go 4-3 one those 7 games.... Heard Chris Burke the other day say that he was obviously pulling for the Vols to get back to the 'AAs, but the last few weekends are tough sledding.
Up 9-2 @ UF.... its not 10-9 in bottom 8.... this team gonna fall short of the NCAA.... I guess injuries and youth just couldn't hold on
Yep... probably an NCAA Regional Berth elimination game vs UF tomorrow. SEC is so damn good.... Indiana probably gonna finish #2 in the Big10 and host a regional and they got embarrassed in Knoxville earlier in the season.
