kinda wish he wasn't. Was it Indy who said he wasn't athletic? Looks to me like he can get us 7-10 yards with his legs at times when teams go man or drop deep. That's plenty.
I hope he plays. He needs to be baptized in the Alabama waters like all UT players, especially QBs. That way he knows what he is up against next year.
Only reason i say that is we can get to 6 wins with him but if Bama takes him out the season is over for like the 3rd time.
He could be knocked out by any opponent. Sure, it’s more likely to happen against a team like Bama, but one wrong hit is all it takes. That could happen against an FCS team. You can’t let fear drive every decision you make.
I realize that. We are about to get whipped. Have to play him if healthy but i like resting after a concussion in an unwinnable game.
If hes been full go in practice and hasn't shown any indication hes not ready to go this weekend, play him.
Play it to a competitive advantage. At least make them prepare for 2 QBs, aka two approaches as different as day and night.
yes - one option where we may actually throw it, and another where we’ll just stand back in the pocket and wait for the most violent collision possible.
Even if deep down you know it’s an unwinnable game, you never tell the players that. Otherwise, you’ll lose the locker room, and the “winnable” games down the road will turn into losses. Don’t let Alabama beat you more than once.
Can you, for just a pretend moment, imagine the shock wave reactions in college football and the playoff if we upset Bama?
Mercy. I don’t even care about the whole world, and am perfectly content to just imagine the reaction in Birmingham, alone.
