These standing ovations as others shake their heads is annoying and embarrassing. It’s all horseshit. Every politician is a piece of shit.
The general demeanor and mannerisms of smarmy ass Mike Johnson are wholly inappropriate, in my opinion.
Avg age in that room is probably 65. Bunch of people who have made a shit ton of money by lying to people and taking advantage of others. [uck fay]em all.
As he was coming down the aisle I thought he looked like someone pulled him out of a coffin and was proping him up. Then the speech started and he looked better and stronger as it went on.
One moment near tears and the next anger followed by instant calm face and motherly smile. Hey [itch bay]; how did you vote on the bipartisan migration bill?
Meh. She sucks and I don’t think any intelligent people would fall for her shtick, but many, probably a large majority of Republican voters would prefer the immigration bill that Congress won’t pass.
Pass the bill so we can resolve cases in 6 months instead of 6 years. R's boo except the R senator who helped write it mouthing "it's true." Pretty memorable.
Glorified campaign speech. When did politics get so out of hand as that there is zero respect from either side?
I'm late to conversation, but having just been between there and Portland for 2 weeks, I didn't find it overblown at all. Although it's only Feb/March, I saw the sun exactly 2 days during the 2 week trip. The traffic drove me up the [uck fay]ing wall in Seattle, too. That will be the only reason I'll never move to a more populated area -- because outside that, the scenery was awesome. Loved the backdrop of a mountain on side of the city and waterfront on the other. The entire West coast is awesome in those regards.
