    That's great.

I had similar issue with my driver. Took me about 1,000 balls at the range, a bottle of Aleve, and had to change the position of the ball in my stance about 40 times. Finally re-found my sweet spot and it has been grip and rip every time, now.

I'm not saying that going erratic with the driver isn't a problem, because it is, but it isn't [penis] beside getting the laterals.

Oh, I wasn't just erratic. I tee'd with a 6 iron for a solid year. I slowed my swing down to see the head line up, and pushed my ball up and in. Couldn't hit anything longer than a 5 iron, and sliced it half the time.

Never had a full case of the lats, but damn near half my bag was worthless. Still can't hit a fairway wood.

I think I finally settled on what I want to buy, Mizuno MP-63s. Anyone heard any reviews on them? All I did was hit a few at the store with them.

off work tomorrow and I'm really tempted to hit up the Wyndham tomorrow or this weekend since it's only about an hour and a half from Bragg.

I've been to the John Deere Classic on a Sunday once and it was fun to follow the leaders on the back nine. If I go tomorrow, I'd definitely follow Leonard. He's always been my personal favorite, but he'll never win another "big" event because he's just not long enough.

Leonard just doesn't putt like he used to. He's still a strong putter, but he was absolutely the hammer there for a few years. His British Open W was one of my favorites.

For a few years, he was doing anything he could to gain distance and I think his iron play and putter suffered from lack of practice. Now I think he realizes his role in the game, picks and chooses his spots where he thinks he can be really successful, but ultimately he has lost his drive and focus to be elite anymore. I think Easy E and Phil have lost a lot of focus too. They're all just out there to enjoy themselves. The difference is Leonard realizes that's where he's at, where Els and Phil are still pretending they want to be the best.

and I'll never forget his putt in '99 at Brookline. It's a shame that all most people remember is the premature celebration. That's when I was just getting into really playing and it hooked me for life.

Lost 1 up in the club championship match today. Shot 72 and opponent shot 74. Jekyll/Hyde round cost me today.

Good Lord, has anyone seen what the Golf Thread over at VN has devolved into? govols/cc and pl3 having a retard fight. As entertaining as the possibilities might be, that just sucks.

Imagine what it looks like when you have one of them on ignore. If I ever were to go back, I'm sure I would have to see what it would look like with both people in a retard fight on ignore.

    no shit.

i'm all about guys thanking God if that's what they're into, but he's not swinging the club or controlling the players nerves, nor does he probably give a shit about the outcome. those two are clearly on the opposite ends of the spectrum though, and it's pretty personal for them.

govols/cc is easily one of the worst volume posters in the history of the site. Pisses me off that he found the golf thread. Weightlifting thread was already mucked up.

I'm totally missing where you are coming from Dooz. All Simpson said was that he wanted to thank God for being out there with him and keeping him calm. Why the outrage? If he felt the presence of "God" keeping him calm, who cares that he thanked him for it? it's his thing, let it be imo, jmho, iyam, tifwiw.

It's that epic, historically awful combination of ignorance and arrogance that makes him special.

there's no outrage here. i'm just saying god didn't have shit to do with him winning the tournament. it's more his hard work than anything else.

that may be, but all he said was he could God's presence keeping him calm. I don't think anyone here can argue his beliefs and his feelings. If he says he felt it, who are we to say otherwise?
