This is what a coach earning the big bucks looks like, btw. It would have been SOOOOO easy to throw JG under the bus and no one would have questioned it. He didn't. He did his job with JG, and with the team. JG will be fine, even if somewhere else. The team is going to be fine. That's coaching.
he wasn't lying when he told everybody JG would be aight and was going to help us win games this year. He's done it 3 times since Pruitt said it.
Yes. This is even more evident when you look at Chad Morris and how he's responded to his team's failures.
Pruitt and the staff created a shit situation. They've been damn near perfect in handling it and getting out of a self induced black hole
the handling of the qb situation has always been questioned but has been perfect with gut decisions the last few weeks, when it had to be. JG showing what he was supposed to show and should be able to run 6-7 times per game as he did and get some yards. Maurer looking more like he was looking for coaches. If Pruitt would have pulled qbs the first 2 games, who knows, but I understand still why he didn't to an extent, as far as play and locker room. I'm not sure pre alabama JG coulda handled it and as of today the locker room is pretty tight due to the losses, departures and the rise of Jared the Phoenix Guarantano
LBs stopped chasing window dressing. when they weren’t in pistol our DLine slanted to the back to take away the QB counter. we also did a much better job on DLine staying square in holes and took running lanes away. We overpursued way too much in first half. also, the 4th down play was beautiful. That’s a disciplined D. Nigel would have annihilated the pitch back, with 3 guys mirroring Bowden.
What Groves said. Morris has zero clue on how a program works and how teams play competitive football when they don't have a major talent advantage. Dang, that sounds just like Butch.
Just Google his name and enjoy the write ups and comment sections. Those ppl are so beaten down they're wanting to leave the SEC for the Big 12.
That's what got me. It was an option play with every option accounted for and taken away. The best outcome possible for UK was exactly what the QB did.
