Hopefully we had some dedicated ass kissers there and ready, apologizing for not kissing more ass of a committed prospect.
Neidermeyer hasn’t gotten anyone big this year so far and seems to have struck out on a lot of guys. Can’t expect him to come up completely empty and he’s on Darnell Washington. That might be our big star for the class.
Yes Its possible but it would take landing Washington, Baron, Thomas and one other 4 star. Maybe landing Tisdol or flipping Hardy.
I didn't know. Step 1 - get a stable foundation. I think that's largely done. Step 2 - get the athletes. We've got to get more in here.
Wonder if these guys can pull any rabbits out of their hats with transfers this offseason like we had with Gibbs and Solomon.
I think Baron and Thomas are Vols. I think Tennessee lands either Tisdol or Whitehead. It looks good for Washington, but you never know with those types until they sign. Kevin Cooper was apparently back in Knoxville for a practice, that's a big time ass kissing move there.
The 0-2 start killed any chance of this being a top 10 class this year. I think 15th is about where we top out. Wed have to basically land Washington, Thomas, Baron, flip Hardy, and land a few more 4 stars for it to be higher. Which isn't out of the question, but we can't afford to miss on any of the higher rated guys we're after.
That’s my thinking. Currently, the SEC has: The Top 3 classes (UGA, Bama & LSU) *We play two annually. 4 of the Top 6 (TAM, UF) * We play 3 annually Tennessee currently at 12th Four more in the Top 25 Barn at 13 USC at 17 Arkansas at 20 Ole Miss at 22 Miss. St. at 24 Two in the Top 40 Kentucky at 30 Mizzou at 34 Shit on a Rock Vandy at 50 On paper, this class is good enough to put some space between us and the next lower tier, but we lose ground to the teams above us. Yes, yes, yes.... Pruitt is a better coach, and will coach’em up. It’s easier to recruit in more talent-laden states. Tennessee is going to its 1st bowl in 3 years. Other teams can take more kids. We need more time to build relationships. Star rankings aren’t an absolute measurement. Next year will be a monstrous haul, probably best in program’s history. ....yes, yes, yes, a thousand times YES!! Hard truth: this class won’t significantly improve our team, is losing ground to who we are chasing and simply isn’t good enough, by any objective and reasonable criteria. I agree with what you are saying but these rankings are for the 2019 class. We are working on the 2020 class now.
You're really not going to recruit much better than we are currently without winning more than we are currently. You can't start the season like we did and expect much better than where we're at. We were the laughing stock of college football for a month. If we were 8-3 going on 9-3 right now like we should be, we finish with a top 10 class this year.
