So my wife has, like many folks, been posting a lot on the facebooks here lately. Her mother is on it as well and is one of those whose skills with the posting veer toward the awkward at best. See below for an example. My wife is a bit insecure when it comes to her apprearance, so I can't wait to listen to the her complain about it when I get home.

Follow-up to this because I'm gonna have to vent before I go full John Q.

Surgeon that says the gallbladder surgery is not essential and will be revisited in 3-5 months referred my wife to a GI Specialist to look into the issue further, as she didn't believe my wife's symptoms were due to the gallbladder issue. The GI Specialist calls my wife today and says that "your symptoms are 100% due to the gallbladder issue, will persist until the gallbladder is removed, and that it needs to be removed immediately.

How the [uck fay] is something so simple being made this complicated? Either the GI Specialist or the surgeon at UT haven't a [uck fay]ing clue what they are talking about, because they are contradicting each other completely.

Surgeons are considered to be at the highest level of risk. He may not want to operate unless he’s forced to do so. If the gastro says that I would think it’s a go. They should be communicating.

There definitely seems to be a lack of communication between the two, but the specialist seems to be willing to help us out with it, so keeping our fingers crossed.

I understand where the surgeon is coming from given the current situation, but giving info that is 100% contradictory to the specialist is a bit concerning. It's put us in a position of not knowing who to trust on the matter as the info is so different from each source, though I'm leaning towards the specialist having the correct info.

Daughters first grade class is having a zoom meeting today. This has tons of entertainment potential.

I wish I had bought Zoom stock a month ago. My wife uses it for her yoga classes, my sangha uses it for our meetings, and I use it to play DnD with my group.

@CardinalVol any experiences at Blount Memorial? Looks like that's going to be where my wife has to have her gallbladder removed and neither of us have stepped foot inside it.

Other than their ER policies being the worst on earth, nope.

I hear they actually sanitize their stuff now as opposed to just using it over and over.
