Not many people can sing a Steve Earle song better than Steve Earle.

He's from the big city of Cottontown, Tennessee

I can sing just as good or better than most lead singers as long as I'm in my car and the windows are up and I'm by myself. I bet it has something to do with the compact acoustics that make me sound incredible.

I saw Steve Earle on stage with Pearl Jam in Nashville in oh, the early 2000s and he sounded great, but I watched a video on YouTube of him singing copperhead road more recently and he sounded terrible

I just recently found him, but I'm a fan.

There are a lot of good Hank Sr. covers, but this dandy from Josh Turner's newest album is by far the best I've ever heard. Give it a click and I know you will agree.

Anybody given the new Sturgill a spin yet?

I’ve been busy today and haven’t had time, but I can’t wait to give it a listen. The show he did in early June that he streamed from the Ryman was incredible so I’m expecting good things.

Haven’t had a chance yet but I can’t see why it won’t be great

This one from the Steeldrivers features a guy I went to school with as a guest, and it's pretty darn good.

Heard Copperhead Road a billion times but never gave anything else a listen until I was watching The Wire and he performed the intro song for last season. Also a fan.

PSA- If anyone hasn’t watched The Wire, fix that.

You know those late nights, where you are sitting there sipping a drink and dreaming of a day that we had a Post Malone cover of Sturgill Simpson? Dream no longer...

It absolutely is. There was at least some legit good stuff making it on the radio in the 90’s.
