I ask this question earnestly: every time we have an AD opening people bring up Charles Davis. Why? What qualifications does he have?
Definitely. The last guy we hired with zero AD experience worked out well, so this makes a lot of sense.

He was an assistant AD at Stanford, helped run the Olympics in 1996 and ran Disney's wide world of sports. Oh, he ran a few PGA tournaments too. He was on track to be an AD before he started doing TV work
He's making millions being the voice of Madden and calling NFL games now, he would never take the job, but he's not a completely off the wall choice.
