Keon wouldn’t be a lottery pick if they didn’t think he would significantly improve his offensive skills.

Hes a lottery pick because hes an Olympic level athlete,. He will get plenty of time to work on his ballhandling and shooting now, as he has made it this far on athleticism moreso than basketball skills, so he is a good piece of clay to mold

Doesnt sound like we disagree then. Just saying that his current game does not justify a top pick.

Basketballwise I was disappointed. Good kid, competitor, effort, plays D, but awful from 3, fumbled the ball a lot, not even an average passer and missed a lot of fts. NBA is weird. A kid can be college AA, light teams up for 4 years and not get drafted or play, yet an average college player with a high level of athleticism can be a lottery pick.

We didn't really play to the strengths of our two 5 star freshmen, either.

Keon was a little better than Jordan Bowden but not a lot.

Keon is a lot better than Bowden was as a freshman and much more explosive, while becoming the top option by the end of the season, something Bowden struggled with his senior year. Plus, Keon has an explosiveness unlike I've ever seen in a Tennessee athlete on the court. His game is made for the NBA and it's clear a mile away.

Improve means he's not ready now which is the point.

I do think with 18-19 year olds you're looking for flashes of potential. Might be a bit much to expect someone to have the consistency of a 21-22 year old unless he's a generational talent (like Cade).

A guy like Keon who has the off the charts measurables plus the intangibles (IIRC) is kind of the sweet spot for that late lottery range in the draft.

Grizzlies will scoop up a guy like Luke Garza in the late 2nd round for bench depth with the understanding that he probably won't be anything more than a decent contributor.

Fulky confirming what we all knew - he had COVID and it got him pretty good.

Well now maybe he can put on 20+ lbs and be a more physical presence.

It seemed like he was just getting his legs back when he got his face fractured.

That face shot may have been what made him decide to come back, not wanting to go out like that, unavailable to play in the ncaa tourney

Needs to grow the hair back out and bring back the skinny hair band. Something about that really triggered opposing fans.

He's good. Wish we could get him. They're gonna suck next year.

Mostly positive. Achilles heel of next year's team might be toughness in the post though.

The lottery to win the ability to purchase 2022 Final Four tickets has opened. However, Ticketmaster is charging a $25 non-refundable "application fee" to apply. So if you're unlucky and don't get to purchase tickets you still give Ticketmaster $25 for the privilege of losing. It's the most Ticketmaster thing ever to charge people for the chance to purchase tickets only available through your platform. I could roll my eyes and understand a "processing fee" when purchasing the tickets but to give them $25 even if you don't get to purchase tickets it pretty shitty, even for Ticketmaster.
