Never has there been a better documented example of self-defense. Anyone with eyes, a brain and no agenda can clearly compute the truth. One screamed at him that he was going to kill him and tried to grab his gun away from him after chasing him and gunshots fired at him, the other attempted to cranium him by swinging at him twice with the edge of his longboard - easily a potential fatality, and the last one pointed a loaded illegally carried Glock handgun at his head. This never should have gone to trial.
I'm glad they took as long as they needed to make a decision, but I'd be curious to hear why it took 3 days.
I imagine it wasn’t quite as cut and dry as it’s been made out to be, at least not as far as the jury was concerned
Also, the biggest problem with these situations, in my mind, is the immediate reactions from both sides. Wish people would take a step back and let all the facts come out before taking hard stances one way or another. Some of the things important, visible people said about this case (again, on both sides) from the beginning are astounding and shameful. The kid ain't a white supremacist or a domestic terrorist, but labeling him as a hero isn't really accurate either.
It’s up to each individual juror to decide whether or not to speak to the media, but I have my doubts in a case this high profile that any will choose to do so.
It only takes one hold out to delay, right? Like I said, would be curious to hear what the conversation was like.
Pretty much the only things I know for certain from this are 1. The kid was an idiot for showing up there in the first place. 2. The prosecution was awful
The prosecutors were kind of idiots but they aren’t the reason KR walked. The tape didn’t lie and there was no way for them to get around it.
