Yes, we've run a little better than breakeven (which was our goal). We received a 30% federal credit on the solar setup and the powerwall. I believe the credit is less now - maybe 25%.

The solar panels are good for at least 25 years and the powerwall 20-25 years.

The way it works is when the sun is out and generating power it goes to our home first, excess then goes to the powerwall, then any remaining goes back to grid. When sun is obscured or down the house pulls from powerwall and then grid when wall is at minimum (we always keep it at 20% in case of power outages.)

We have service through a co-op so their net metering is different from some of the larger utilities.
    1) We pay $0.10 per kWh from PRECO
    2) PRECO pays us $0.04 per kWh we send them

I almost ordered the Trump north korea coin from the white house gift shop. I regret not doing it.

Down in Gulf Shores for my son’s baseball tournament. Opposing coach from Texas saw my old UT hat and said “that’s not the real UT.”

    I told him”you’re welcome.”

he had the nerve to ask what for.

I said if it weren’t for Tennessee your ass would be speaking Spanish and unable to drink your own water.

This is where you need a bench coach like me who can recite Travis's letter from the Alamo verbatim.

Finally had brisket for the first time last weekend. Found one on sale at the grocery store last week so grabbed it and spent a few days watching youtube videos figuring out how to do it on basic weber grill. Spent all day Saturday smoking it to the best of my ability, pulled it off at sunset, wrapped and put in oven until next afternoon. End result was the best money I've spent on food in years, maybe ever. Borderline magical.

Highly recommended and not nearly as difficult as the cult around texas bbq makes it seem to be honest

All fun until someone tries to jump up on the railing to keep from falling through and falls over the railing.

Thoughts on a 4 day work week?

I have an option for next quarter, my concern is adding 3 hours to my door to door time daily, if the extra day home will make up for the changes in rest etc. I would cram 5 days into 3 when I was getting paid by the foot, but those days are long gone.

I love the idea of the Nolichucky by myself with the fly rod for smallies on a Wednesday, but I wonder if its worth being a zombie at home for the rest of the week.

I like brisket. But one of my rules of living states that “smoker time and space used for anything other than pork is a waste of smoker time and space”

I’d like it. We’ve talked about it in an informal, this won’t ever happen but wouldn’t it be cool, kind of way

    My dad always said:

"I cannot afford to go to a four day work week. That extra day off would break me."

If you have a certain amt of work to do or are commission based, I don’t know why people couldn’t set their own schedules as long as the job is done. Who cares if it’s 5 days if people are spending time driving, breaks, lunch, breaks then drive home. Who cares if it’s 3 days/nights as long as work is done

I agree 100%. We have to change how we view things, get away from the factory mentality of "I pay you for 8 hours of work, I want 8 hours of work". You are now paying me for a job, not an hour.
