I coined him diet Dobbs when he committed to us, but now I think we're going to see what Dobbs would have looked like with competent coaching.

 

He’s also more accurate than Dobbs ever was (that ugly 3rd down right after he hurt his shoulder notwithstanding). Maybe part of that is the competent coaching bit, but he doesn’t really have a weak point in his game.

 

I hate to break it to yall, but Hooker is better than Dobbs.

 

He’s a different kind of runner than Dobbs was but he’s a better passer. Dobbs is probably super jealous that he had to play in The Infallible System

 

My favorite run was the long one in the third when he ran behind Fant for about 10 yards then straight up threw him into the guy to block him.

Yes. There was one run I saw his neck jerk awkwardly and thought for sure he wasn't going to get up.

 

The only QB performance I can compare would be Andy Kelly in 91 versus Notre Dame. And Hookers was still better.

Dobbs kept Butch employed, he did it in spite of coaching, I'll always wonder what he could have been with competent coaching.

Hooker and Heupel are a perfect fit. It's nice to feel like great players are receiving great coaching on the offensive side again

 

Yes. I do wonder if it would be that way if they both had the same coach.
