I think it’s as simple as that. Same as the headlines in people taking private jets on 30 mile flights
Dennis Schroder signs a 1-year deal with the Lakers for $2.64 million. As a reminder, this is the same guy who recently turned down a 4 year, $84 million deal with the same team just a year or two ago. Hard to know who’s the bigger idiot - the Lakers for offering that deal, or Schroder for turning it down.
I don't have a clue about what's going on in Boston, but when Matt Barnes comments that he spoke too quickly and that it's worse than he could have imagined, then we're dealing with some crazy stuff.
I’m stunned by the amount of people who apparently don’t understand why companies/organizations have fraternization policies in place.
We were just talking about that. Like, how do you make “affair with a subordinate” worse? We came up with she’s married, and he impregnated her. Then he threatened her job/safety if she didn’t keep quiet about it and didn’t abort it.
ESPN's top 20: 1. Giannis 2. Jokic 3. Doncic 4. Embiid 5. Steph 6. LeBron 7. Tatum 8. Durant 9. Morant 10. Booker 11. Harden 12. Kawhi 13. KAT 14. Dame 15. Paul George 16. Trae Young 17. Jimmy Butler 18. Rudy Gobert 19. Bradley Beal 20. AD Too low (IMO): AD - If we are assuming health, this guy has to be top 15, at minimum Jimmy Butler - Did these people not watch the playoffs last season? Dame - Fringe top 10 at worst Kawhi - If we are assuming health, Kawhi belongs in the top 8, minimum. Durant - 8 for Durant is laughable. LeBron - Again, if we are assuming health, Bron belongs in the top 3. Too high (IMO): Gobert - LOL KAT - they have this guy ahead of Paul George, Jimmy Butler, and AD? Is this a joke? Booker - there have been questions about whether he's even the best player on his team. Tatum - I'll give him top 10, but he's not better than Durant. Embiid - this one is tough. I don't think he belongs much lower than he is, but I do think he's a few spots too high. Jokic - let's see it in the playoffs.
I also think there's a decent chance Harden moves right back into the top 10 this season. Which is sort of why I think these types of lists shouldn't change as much as people change them. I need to see sustained levels of play across multiple seasons once it hits the top 10.
I generally agree with these adjustments, IMO there’s a clear top 7 (maybe 8 with Kawhi) and Tatum isn’t in it. I may have LeBron toward the bottom of those 7 but that’s neither here nor there
If you’re factoring in injuries, I can see LeBron falling for some people. If we assume everybody is healthy, he’s still towards the top.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...west-finals-nba-finals-lebron-pursuit-history Nuggets get their 2nd and 3rd best players back to join the back to back MVP, and only one person picks them to even make the finals? How bizarre!
Nick Wright: “Should the clear MVP really be the MVP if he’s not shutting down guards on the perimeter as a center???” Guy is going to spend another full season tripling down on his horrible take
