biggest driver of this is due to the Chinese demographics. China labor is no longer cheap and plentiful due running out of young workers
Or they are running out of people due to covid. I think they have vastly under stated how many people they have lost.
Tifwiw, but Rogan had a guest this week who apparently knows a lot about China geopolitics. He claimed that even their total population figures are wildly fraudulent. He presented compelling evidence that China has over counted their population numbers by at least 100 million. He also said he estimates China will lose at least 1.5 million due to the Covid outbreak, mainly because their draconian lockdown policies these past few years, while initially successful, has caused their general population to not have any real natural immunity. Was an interesting conversation to say the least.
Modern China really is a real life dystopian society you see in books and movies. The absolute power their govt has and wields over their citizens is scary as hell.
And it's a damn shame too because outside of their govt China is such a cool country. The thousands of years of history there alone is astonishingly awesome. It is also a very beautiful country in most places once you get away from the smog ridden urban areas; and their average citizens are mostly decent, hard-working folks. Really hope the Chinese can organize and demand a better govt, I just have serious doubts they can actually ever truly dispose of the CCP. Hard to overthrow the CCP when nobody there is armed and when the CCP controls all flow of information and utilizes modern technology to stifle, locate and arrest any potential CCP dissenters.
What if the underlying premise is objectively true, and emissions from gas stoves is responsible for illness and death in the home? The leading cause of death worldwide is from wood stoves in the home, by the way. That gas stoves with no ventilation is a problem makes perfect sense.
