I would love to see a Great White breech in person. Its amazing to me that an animal that weighs 4000 pounds can propel itself out of the water. Truly amazing.

I've been close enough to shark action this summer. I'm good. Don't need any more.

I could see something similar to this at my apt. complex swimming pool if i really wanted. It's overrated.

Yeah, I've never really seen the big deal with shark week. Overrated IMO.

They just show the same shit every year now. Maybe mix it up a little, Manatee Week anyone?

Saw a show on the Humbolt. Nasty little critters.

Did anyone watch that mermaid show on Discovery Saturday night? They went a little above and beyond on certain aspects (as always), but there were definitely some interesting tidbits to it.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ruined squids for me. I've been terrified of them since I was three or four.

That is very criticized piece, because much of it is actually false (made up) information that they are doing as a "parody," except they don't explicitly say so and attach the Discovery logo to it. It's the History Channel's BS all over again and it is an erosion of science in the public eye. Despicable.

hooked on phonics worked for me.

Is it really necessary to explicitly say "This is a parody!" regarding something like that? Just asking.

    Yes, apparently it is.

They flashed a piece at the end that several parts were fiction, but stated that the Bloop noise and a few other pieces were real. Like I said, they went above and beyond on several parts, but it is cool to know there is still stuff in the sea that can't be explained.
