He hasn't made any real progress at Duke. Just another guy who should know his role and stay a coordinator.

Agreed. Some just aren't meant to be head coaches. I'm sure Fulmer will be looking for an OC for the Pittsburgh Passion.

i probably would have gone down with Duke than with Fulmer too. at least he can probably get a job somewhere now.

 

If you're going to coach with a bad ticker, better coach at a place where football doesn't matter.

 

At least the "UT should've hired Cutcliffe" stuff is almost completely non-existent now.

For real. Only has to be stressed about the outcome of a game for 20 minutes or so, rather than 3+ hours. That's a real perk.

 

Also is disturbing how close it was from actually happening.

 

I'd keep coaching as long as they paid me.
