Just read this, and basically everything I have heard on Dooley, and his lack of recruiting skills, are addressed in this article. Really wish we would have fired him after the KY game last year. Tri-state area teams ignored by Dooley staff | timesfreepress.com
There's been a lot of stuff coming out about how disorganized the recruiting was which is surprising given Dooley's rep for organization. I think he's more obsessive compulsive about random things that give the appearance of organization but not in reality.
stop the bashing. if we would have kept him, we would have retained CP,JH and bray . Dumbest move since we let Randy Sanders go imo.
I was told at the UF game this year, that Dooley had called Jalen Ramsey TWICE during his entire recruitment, up until that day. This came directly from someone who has worked with Jalen during his recruitment.
If we kept CDD, I'm sure he would have kept us stocked with highly-touted 3-star defensive talent. Especially DBs who run like they have a foot stuck in a bear trap. We seem to have a lot of those. What makes you think retaining Dooley would lead those three to stay? Hunter is gone regardless of who is coach. Bray may not have a choice but to stay because he hurt his draft stock incredibly this year. CP is the only real wildcard and I doubt his decision would be tied to Dooley. And Randy Sanders? Srsly?
Very doubtful and based on all the other failures not worth it if it turned out to be true. We're much better off with Dooley gone in the short and long term. This roster should have one a minimum 8 games this year with half competent coaching and leadership.
