From what I have gathered in the seedy corners of the recruiting forums, we should receive good news on Thursday. O'Brien should give his pledge to play for UT. But what do I know!
Yeah - things are sounding pretty good. It could obviously go against us still, but I feel a lot better than I did three weeks ago. OCI has said the staff has felt confident all along - sounds like the staff may have snagged him a while back, fought of Michigan over the late summer while O'Brien dealt with the home-state school, and ultimately hung onto him...at least that's how I hope it goes down.
Dooley has to go to Michigan to get a DT. Can't get one from a football state in the South. Don't be surprised when this guy busts.
Fulmer was really killing it with DT's the last five years or so. Where was our best one from... Hawaii?
Let me know when Dooley lands an Albert Haynesworth, John Henderson type DT even once, let alone repeatedly.
Fulmer was coach for 5 years before he landed those two. Plus, he had just come off a NC Dooley has only had one full recruiting cycle under his belt at UT.
Or losing the SECCG and a possible spot in the NC by losing to LSU with a backup QB and the best DL line that ever played at UT
