Anybody see this yet? That was awesome. He totally calls that writer out for writing false information and then bans him. Funny to see spurrier get so worked up.
If the guy is in fact writing false stories, good for Spurrier. Tend to believe Spurrier on this, simply because it isn't like there aren't a lot of negative stories written about him and his teams at different times over the years and this is only the second time he has done something like this. Some folks try to make a big splash in journalism, and compromise all of it's principles in the process. They need to be motivated to find another line of work.
I say Spurrier's evasive and full of shit. Points to a "fabricated" story from several months ago, yet decides to address it on the day he dismisses Garcia?
He was tired of the guy's BS and didn't feel like giving him an opportunity to spin and falsify his own version of events.
So why not address it several months ago when the story was written? Why not address it privately? Why bring up old shit from the spring on the day Garcia gets the boot? There's no escaping the timing on this, and comes across petty.
