The twist with that is the kid never suffered a career ending injury, Saban just needed room to sign another 5 star (I'm kidding)
i'm pretty sure medical retirements don't count against the scholarship limit. not trying to rain on the parade. . .
They do not. It's still pretty cool to see Sumlin keep the guy around the program and make sure he's not paying for school.
I guess Saban is a good guy too. According to the bammers, when the scrubs wash out medically there, they get to continue their education for free.
