This was per Colin Cowherd, so no word on when it gets implemented. Just that Silver said it is.

I'm all for basketball getting the baseball treatment. You either enroll for 3 years or you declare straight from school.

That way, you at least have to attempt to get a degree or you go straight to making money. The one and done is stupid. Technically, a player could take 12 hours in the fall and never go to a class in the spring. The two and done is stupid too. There's really no conceivable way someone gets a degree that quickly.

Nah, this is an NBA deal. As was the 1-year deal. It's not an NCAA issue.

The NBA wants to draft guys who have learned to shoot a jumper.

Agree. Cal gets the best players. Now he gets the best players for two years instead of one. People are delusional that think this is going to hurt them.

I know. Why would they not to KY only to play somewhere ELSE for two years? It isn't like they can skip the two year deal.

That said, I have not seen this on ESPN or CNNSi.

exactly. the people who are going to be "hurt" are the ones who don't get the one and doners anyway.

I'm not sure I believe that a guy should have to sit out an additional 2 years if say he was a relative unkown and blows up his freshman year which happens all the time. not everyone is lebron james. I can't think of any resonable reason why someone shouldn't be able to earn a living whenever they want.

Perhaps it was poor/loose phrasing, but it sounded like it was imminent.

there's not any real argument that it's right, especially per the kids, but it will probably help both sides.

It's not the best solution, but it's better than what they have now.
