I started the thread for guys like me who are gun nuts, I felt it could and should exist apart from the hunting thread. I don't know if there's enough people interested to keep it going, but that's ok. Mods, if a thread like this already exists, go ahead and delete this one, but I couldn't find one. To get it started, I just sold my Glock 23 and bought a Springfield XD 9mm SubCompact. I hated my Glock, but that's just because it was a .40, pretty rough shooting gun. I'm excited to see how the new 9mm shoots.
Had to look that up, is it the same as an A5, or I guess the modern version of the A5. I killed a turkey last year with an A5 my granddad passed down to my Dad and then me, which was special.
I've got an M1-30 cal carbine that is a sweet shooting gun. Has a custom stock and scope mount. It's fun with the 30 round clip in.
My next purchase will be a 1911 .45, not sure exactly which one I want yet. I'd like to get a nice one though so it'll be a while before I can get enough saved up.
My 1911 is a Chinese Norinco. It still shoots great. Any old school (not modern inlines) black powder enthusiasts? I have reproductions of an 1853 Enfield Rifled Musket (.58 cal) and an 1858 New Army Remington cap & ball single-action revolver (.44 cal). I can't hit the broad side of a barn with the pistol, but I'm not shabby with the musket. They're a blast to shoot.
One day I'm gonna buy a Sharps and kill something from 400+ yards with it. I don't know why I think they're so cool, I'm just a sucker for old west guns.
