You could not be anymore right. In the last...five...years, I can recall only two games that reminded me of the Neyland of old. '09 UGA and '12 Florida. Two very different outcomes but in both games the atmosphere was electric. You could tell versus Florida in '12, all day long, everybody was on the edge of their seats with anticipation. The Gameday crew made reference to it during the broadcast, IIRC. I still think we're at least a year away before we're "back" and I'm still not completely convinced that this is the staff that will do it...although I'm definitely leaning that way. How we fare during the Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida stretch will tell me a lot about this staff.
Always good to think back on the major rain games at Neyland. 02 Florida 98 Arkansas (01 Arkansas on the road too actually) 92 Florida 89 Auburn Those are off the top of my head. I'm sure I am forgetting some.
Had a young couple from Oregon standing beside us on the ramp after the stadium cleared. They were freaking out. "Do you guys get tornadoes here?" "Yeah but they rarely last more than a couple of minuets." I thought the dude was gonna cry.
