This team just isn't very good without McFadden. They faked it for a few weeks without him, but I thought getting drilled by Miami exposed them for what they are. On another note, I've always been skeptical of "opportunistic" defenses that pretty much suck but force a lot of turnovers. Green Bay D is the exception. They're unreal.
The Raiders are starting to see the real Carson Palmer for what he is. A sometimes talented turnover machine.
Oh well. Two starters out on line will cause even the best offense to sputter. Been waiting on this for about 3 weeks.
Going to be interesting to see how they approach this game. McCarthy says that they are going for the win, but I'd still not be shocked if the starters sat at least half of the 3rd and 4th quarters. Would like to see Clifton get an entire game under his belt though.
I have a friend from college from Michigan who says the Lions aren't a dirty team and that it is all media hype. Nevermind Schwartz's teams weren't exactly angels in Nashville either.
Matt flynn is your starting qb today. Great opportunity for him to catch some eyes maybe, but I really hate sitting people with a bye week next week.
Matt flynn may have earned himself a shot at a starting job somewhere next year. 480 and 6 tds? Not a bad day at all.
Pack positioned as good as you can ask for. Homefield, bye, no sf/no until nfccg. Let the playoffs begin.
While I would like to see Saints/Packers again this year, I'd also like to see that 49ers D get a shot at either of them.
