Alabama planning to make big run at Gregg Marshall when Wichita State’s season ends, sources told @CBSSports. Story: http://t.co/IU5xaHUXBC According to Gary Parrish
He's not going anywhere that isn't a premier job or where he isn't big man on campus. Alabama would meet neither requirement
Parrish said Alabama is going to start at 3mil and go as high as it needs to or he says no. I can't really see him there either.
Sounds about right. Howland to MSU, Marshall to Alabama, and if we lose Tyndall Hart will bring in another bargain bin coach. Go Vols.
We play in freakin Thompson Boling Arena. Our fans have shown they are willing to fill it up (or at least average 20k per game) for a winner. I. JUST. DON'T. UNDER. STAND.
You can't put monetary value on being the big dog on campus and not having to deal with a 100 boosters
I believe this and have said so often. "Straight cash, homie" doesn't work. Not anymore. Everyone is making good money, and more money to deal with the headaches will probably not cover it.
Marshall may not be easily swayed by straight cash. But the idea that you can't throw around multi-millions and land a HR of a hire is silly.
You'll always be able to land a big name if you have enough money, but some guys care more about things other than money
