Is there seriously no thread on one of the biggest threats to our generations greatest innovation? The blackouts or protests from different websites started today. Google has their logo blacked out with information on the issue. Wikipedia is completely down, redirected to a flash page with information on the issue. Reddit is down i believe, haven't looked at what they have done yet. Craigslist has a black front page with info and tons of informative articles. Rexvol drank a fifth of Jack and blacked out tonight in protest. Copying and pasting aint gonna fly in this new internet.
This is one of those extremely rare situations where I am completely and totally against the GOP rank and file and siding with Obama on this one.

Can't we get Anonymous to hack all of Congress' computers and threaten to publicize all their browsing histories and downloads if they don't cut this out?
is this another slippery slope argument or it this a serious threat? serious question. i really don't know. on the face of it it seems resonable.
Serious threat. This is not just a slippery slope. This is a fundamental change. Nobody in their right mind would allow user-generated content onto anything they own if this passes, which essentially kills the internet as we have come to know it. Hell, it would probably change the way this forum is being operated.
I think the general goals of the bills are fine. How those goals are to be achieved, however, are way overboard.
