We talked about this on here at one point, but I couldn't remember which thread. Anyone have recommendations for what to buy here? How much storage is enough? Is one brand better than another? Are there any great cyber Monday deals worth looking into?

At the moment, I just add and delete games as I play them. Freed up 65 GB last night deleting stuff after I downloaded Battlefront. Not sure the 2 or 3 TB would be necessary for me, but I'll hang up and listen.

Costco, if you have a membership, usually has the Seagate externals for pretty cheap.

Don't have a membership. Anyone with one want to purchase for me?

I can tell you what the price is, if that helps your search.

Sure, if it isn't too much trouble.

Can any external hard drive work, or does it have to be a specific type to work with Xbox?

I haven't had the need yet with the Bone, but with the 360, I used a regular old Western Digital external. I had to format it using the 360, but that was it.

    So probably the same.

    Costco:

Seagate 3TB External Hard Drive (Backup Plus) -- can just be wiped.
$20 manufacturers discount** is valid 11/1/15 though 12/5/15. While Supplies Last.
    Online Price $119.99
    Less -$20.00
    Your Price $99.99

(same on Amazon, but $109): http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Deskt...8067&sr=8-1&keywords=seagate+backup+plus+3+tb

The 5TB Backup plus (non slim) is $120. But they are sold out on the web. (I have this drive as a backup drive. It's pretty decent. Not sure how it would be for gaming, though)

The Slim 2TB is $86 at CostCo
The Slim 4TB is $140 at Costco.

WD Passport Ultra 3TB is $110 at Costco
WD Passport Ultra 2TB is $90 at Costco
WD Passport Ultra 1TB is $60 at Costco

Pretty much all of these prices are with $20 off that ends soon.

Thanks for the info. I think I've seen the 2TB seagate for $80 or $90 at a couple places, though it's hard to remember what's what. I'll have to look into it more tomorrow.

That's the one. I wonder what a normal price for that one is. I assume this is still the sale price. I'm kind of hoping that seeing the normal price will push me to buy, even though I don't necessarily need it at the moment.

According to NewEgg, at that link, the price that is lined through is $89.99

Yeah, not that big of a discount. I'll probably hold off for a while.
