Logic says this teams needs to go 6-4 to get a shot at any type of postseason birth. Can they do it? We've got -

    at Kentucky
    UGA
    Carolina
    at Florida
    Arkansas
    at Alabama
    Ole Miss
    at Carolina
    at LSU
    Vandy

Best chance I can see is to go 4-1 at home and get the games at Carolina and LSU.

Unfortunately we are not making the dance this year unless we win the SEC tourney and that will not happen so I see no post season in our future. Next year should be a lot better though.

Gotcha. I don't think its too much of a stretch to say we can make the NIT.

What is the rule for postseason eligibility, .500 or >.500?

We have at least one SECT game to play as well.

I'm not positive there is an official rule. I think the rule of thumb is .500 though, but it's changed since the NCAA took over the NIT.

If we could get to 8-8 in conference, that would get us a winnable round 1 game as I think we'd be the 6 or 7 seed.

    And there you have it.

Looks like .500 is the goal, and the more wins the merrier.
