I've been assuming something like this was coming ever since they added Clemson/Auburn. We were clearly the less nationally interesting matchup. It's not just us; NC State is the least interesting team in the whole ACC. This would be a dog of a matchup ratings-wise even if we'd won 8 or 9 games last year. There has to be something else on TV that Friday night for the game to fall all the way to ESPNU. Anybody know what?
Boise St. at Michigan St. @ 8 on ESPN High School Football on ESPN2 EDIT: Tennis on ESPN2, not HS football
Will be in Nashville/Opryland area that weekend. Any central TN boys willing to take in/meet up with a NETN refugee in an unfamiliar land to watch the game? I'll have some other goid ole boys with me. One guy is 6'7" 350 ish. Too bad he never played football. I always tell him he's big enough to go bear hunting with a switch.
US Open is on ESPN2. The sad part is that I look at the Mich St/Boise game and I can't really fault ESPN. Do wish we could have played this on Sunday though.
I'm planning on making the trip. The Braves are hosting the Phillies that weekend, so I'm gonna go to the UT game on Friday and the Braves game on Saturday.
It looks like a good game. I'll be anxious to see what BSU does without Moore. It is easily the better game. The past 2 years of ESPNU pre-Saturday opening weekend games: Murray State @ Louisville Western Kentucky vs. UK Minnesota @ MTSU Oh how the mighty have fallen. We are on par with shit like this.
And yet, I have seen threads elsewhere touting us winning the east....and we're the ones out of touch. Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
Actually, I do think there is at least a chance we could win the East. Not necessarily expecting it, but there is at least a chance.
