Seems like a fun exercise for the off season. Maybe do one a day. #1 Leonard Little or Jason Witten? Anyone else?
Is Hurd in the discussion for #1? Was on pace to be the all-time leading rusher in less than 3 seasons and that was playing in one of the worst offensive schemes imaginable.
Hurts that he didn't play for a memorable team in his time here. He's in the discussion with Witten, but Little on another level, imo, jmo, jmmfo.
I'd take him over Witten. Witten had less than 800 yards and less than 10 TDs during his career. Not exactly great numbers.
His junior year he, statistically, was the best pass catching te in the sec though. It's a shame how wasted he was in years 1 and 2 here
Either guy would be worthy of a spot on an All-time UT team, but I still probably give it to Little. That guy stood out with Al Wilson on the field with him. He's one of the most exciting defenders we've ever had. Maybe the most exciting.
Got to go Little for #1. He was one of those guys who could change a game by himself. Unstoppable off the edge.
#1 - Little #2 - Burnett #3 - Meachem #4 - F. Reveiz (sorry Jeff Hall) #5 - ... ehhhhh.... Kevin Simon? #6 - J. Streater #7 - C. Holloway #8 - A. Kelly is the only one that comes to mind #9 - T. Noel maybe #10 - T. Robinson or J. Becksvoort .... that's a tough call for me. Lot of #10s running around out there from the past #11 - J. Kent? #12 - M. Nash only one that comes to mind #13 - T. Fair #14 - E. Berry #15 - C. Pickens (honorable mention to Jim Bob Cooter) #16 - P. Manning ... sounds like a good place for me to stop at this point.
I'd go Eric Lane for #5... I know 90% of you are saying who TF is Eric Lane?? but he was a great off field ambassador for the program and at least a serviceable RB in his time here. One of my favorite lesser known Vols. #4 has gotta be Craig Faulkner for me... Dude made some amazing grabs....
I considered Faulkner for #4, but .... I mean... we're talking about faud reveiz, man. here's a possible challenge: reveiz #4 and becksvoort #10? or Faulkner #4 and Robinson #10
I liked Jonathon Wade, not sure he should get anything more than an honorable mention for #4 though. Probably go with Hall.
