If you drink 1,000 cans a day. http://mobile.bloomberg.com/news/2012-03-05/cancer-causing-chemical-found-in-coca-cola-pepsi-consumer-group-says.html Moderation.
No doubt there are carcinogens in some of our processed foods and beverages. Of course, sunlight is also a carcinogen. Our bodies aren't adapted to live forever, they are adapted to merely live long enough to ensure our genes are passed on.
Coincidentally, I went to the optometrist today. If a pretty optometrist tells you that you have beautiful and bright optic nerves, is she hitting on you? In a way, I hope so. Plus she was already pregnant, so no need for a love glove.
I would have been dead over 20 years ago if Coke caused cancer. It's the nectar of the gods. I can see how that overly sweet, under carbonated Coke wannabe, Pepsi, could cause cancer. That stuff would knock a buzzard off a gut wagon.
Coke is the original soft drink and by far the most popular. Pepsi is a wannabe pretender and will always suffer from Coke envy and be Coke's red-headed step-child. Sorry Rev, I will never see it differently, but you can be a fan of an inferior soft drink. That's ok. It's a free country. It just speaks to your lack of 'taste' for the finer things in life.
If you read the 'Common sense/Book smart' thread you have seen that I haven't exactly had good luck with Chicago natives. Figures that a Chicago joint prefers that cheap imitation, Pepsi.
