Since there's a thread for the overrated, it got me to thinking... I'd go with either Kyle Lowry or LaMarcus Aldridge.
DeMarcus Cousins is a straight baller. Obviously everyone knows who he is, but I don't think he's been getting near enough publicity for the way he's been playing lately.
He was really struggling for the first half of this month but has always been a great scorer. I don't really get why McHale appears to have so little confidence in him at times.
This. If Harden didn't play on a team where the PG insists on cranking up 20+ shots per game, he'd be an outstanding scorer.
I am. Dude is stepping his game up. He may never be as good as Howard defensively but he is already a more polished low block scorer than Howard will probably ever be.

Regardless, he is playing at a high level this year. I don't think he is the most underrated player in the NBA but I'm not going to repeat Aldridge, which is probably the best choice.
