F*** Gamestop

 

Gamestop closing 100 stores, I think they'll bleed out quite quickly.

 

They're Blockbuster-- relics of old technology.

I miss the physical experience of browsing at a music store or going to look to rent a VHS tape at a video store. However, I will never fondly look back at sifting through places like GameStop for physical copies of video games.

 

I miss the big PC boxes that had physical maps or colorful, detailed manuals. Those days have been gone for 15 years though.

 

Europa Universalis 2 had a manual that was bathroom reading for 6 months. For whatever reason I can't be bothered with a video tutorial but a manual can suck me in. Must be a byproduct of being about the last of the card catalog generation.

 

To be fair, Europa Universalis is a complicated game.
