This is apparently picking up some steam, albeit almost entirely from the grass roots. Shouldn't the Titans just outright cut Locker if this were to occur?
I'm thinking more of Locker's psyche - first relegated to bench behind Hasselbeck, and would again be buried behind Manning for another 2-3 years. Hard to recover from that, and it's way too much $$$ to spend on a young QB. And then, you're starting anew with needing to draft another franchise QB sometime in 1-2 years (to replace Peyton) - lots of salary cap hits, too. I can't see it, but if there's an owner who is stupid when it comes to a QB, it's Adams (see: Young, Vince and McNair, Steve during his last few years).
I personally don't think Locker will amount to much, so I think it would be a good move. Make the Titans Super Bowl contenders, IMO
I never watched Jake Locker that much in college, but he was pretty impressive this year when he had to play. All he did was make plays and he did not turn the ball over.
Hass is a lot more expensive than Locker. Regardless, this is not going to happen. The Titans have already said as much.
