Mandel updated his rankings: http://www.foxsports.com/college-fo...-66-bcs-teams-into-four-tier-hierarchy-052517 Miami and penn state should not be in the kings range and tenn should be in my opinion.
Several teams in the Kings category are way out of place in the current landscape. Namely Notre Dame, Penn State, Miami, Florida, and LSU. None of them belong there.
I don't know. He's going to have an uphill battle due to the reputation of Tennessee's cluster**** of an administration, not to mention the fact Martin hates him and Snyder doesn't think too highly of him, either. If they let him open up the check book, he can get a fairly reputable coach, I think. Currie understands football drives the money train here.
I think lsu and Florida belong. I tend to agree about the rest. It should be a program where you can win big immediately with a nick Saban type coach which is why tenn should be on the list and ND or penn state shouldn't
Florida could crater. They were irrelevant for a long time, had some success in the late 80's got in trouble and hired a once in a lifetime coach in Spurrier, dominated then made a great hire in Meyer to keep it going. Now, they have Mr Ed coaching against a shitshow division.
someone is going to get all that florida talent and Miami has shit facilities and alumni support. he hasn't been recruiting as well as he should though I will admit.
Meanwhile Richt is crushing it on the recruiting trail. UF should land top 10 classes almost every year.
Think about that. No player considering playing for Tennessee has never seen us win anything other than a "Life Championships".
