Historic level of adversity here. Do we know if any other college programs have had this kind of loss this early in summer practice?
Hall may be a Tiny situation with his knee. LB issues go beyond the skill level of Jumper. Sitting back and accepting blocks is poor coaching and scheming. We won't play well on D again until we stop trying to be so cute and just get upfield and reek havoc in the backfield.
Losing Hall sucks, but he hasn't played a full season yet. There's still 4 viable offensive tackles even with him out in Smith, Richmond, Kendrick and Tatum
Using their data and player feedback to rest tweaks instead of pushing them to lingering year long issues.
Having a strength coach is a good idea. Maybe they won't fire this guy because he disapproves of rape.
No team in the history of college football has had to face the challenges we are facing this season. And it is ONLY year 5. We all know, because Butch told us two years ago, it takes 8 or 9 years to build a program.
Sounds to me like he's already feeding the media the message he wants out there in case it all goes south, regardless of how serious or lingering the injuries are. They may all be perfectly fine for all we know. But Butch gotta have something lined up.
