The mentioning of radical skeptics made me laugh. You got to be a special kind of paranoid to run with that way of thinking.
I used to drive my wife crazy coming home from philosophy class arguing she was simply a brain in a vat and that all her sense experience was an illusion. Neither of them was identifying with skepticism. They were pointing out its inherent absurdity in trying to find common ground for a starting place in debate.
