My day at school.......

I have one student that will go to court tomorrow and is looking at a 2 1/2 years sentence for domestic terrorism threats. Today I had a 13 yo take a swing at me, I had to take him to the floor and restrain him. Where he then TRIED to bite me, no luck in that part. Had to file police charges against him. That was right before lunch. Well just after I had finished my Devil Ham sandwich, I had to take a knife off another student. It was a locking blade with a 4 1/4" blade. This young man was arrested by the Resource Officer and taken to jail. He won't be back. So how was your day?????

Never got the chance. What really bothered me about it was that he had shown it to two other kids in the class and they never mentioned it.

 

So has a student ever landed a swing on you OV?

 

My classroom rules chart reads like this. "Rule 1: If cold wear a coat.
Rule 2: See rule 1!

 

Yes, but the funny part has always been that I've never felt it. My teachers aid has asked me a couple of times did it hurt when they hit you, and I've always asked them when did they hit me? Heck their just 13-15, they can't possibly hit that hard.

 

I guess another question is how was the sandwich?

 

Had the large can with a lot of mustard! Just great!
